Data protection


Pursuant to art. 13 (1) and (2) of the General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April 2016 (Official Journal of the European Union L 119 of 4 May 2016), we inform you that:


1    The controller of your personal data is the Institute of Nuclear Physics Polish Academy of Sciences (IFJ PAN)

3    Your personal data will be processed pursuant to:

    •    art. 6, item. 1 letter b, c of the General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April 2016, for the purpose of proper organization of the PhDia2023 conference (including lunches and conference dinner), on the basis of the provisions of tax and accounting law

    •    art. 6, item 1 letter a of the General Data Protection Regulation of 27 April 2016, for the purpose of promoting the PhDia2023 conference and informing about scientific events organized by IFJ PAN, publishing participant list on the conference website and preparing proper meals during the conference dinner

4    The recipients of your personal data will be:

    •    entities entitled to obtain personal data under provisions of law (e.g. court, police, tax authorities),

5    Your personal data will be retained:

For the period necessary for proper organization and settlement of the programme, i.e. 5 years from the end of the calendar year in which the programme was organized,

For the purpose of promoting the PhDia2023 conference  - for 1 year the end of the event.

For the purpose of meals preparation - after the end of the event.

For informing about scientific events organized by IFJ PAN  - until the request for the erasure of personal data is received by the controller,

 

6    Your personal data will not be used for automated individual decision-making, including profiling

7    You have the right to demand access to your personal data and receive a copy of your data, the right to request rectification and restriction of processing of your personal data as well as the right to erasure of your personal data (does not apply to situations where data processing is necessary to fulfil the obligation arising from the law),

8    You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on the consent given before its withdrawal,

9    You have the right to lodge a complaint to the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw),

10    Providing your personal data is voluntary, but it is necessary for participation in the conference.

However, some agreements are optional, as below:

for the purpose of preparing proper meals with regard to food preferences

for displaying your name in the books of abstracts, on posters and website’s participation list,

for being informed about the future scientific events organized by IFJ PAN.

11    In case of connecting remotely to lectures with your camera and/or microphone switched on, your image and voice will be provided to the provider of the Zoom platform.
